Almost 3 years... wow!

I can hardly believe that in 40 something days I will be celebrating my 3 year blogiversary! Its hard to believe that its been that long! I'm kinda proud that I've been doing this for so long. Its kinda cool to look back on everything! I've changed this blog sooo many times LOL. I always get tired of the way it looks and want to snaz it up. :) I need to come up with some sort of giveaway to celebrate the anniversary, that should be fun. I'll put a little something together soon and let you all know in advance!

Cool Shop + giveaway = AWESOME!

Any chance I get, I want to help other shops promote on Etsy. Its an AWESOME venue for creative people to sell their handmade items, but sometimes it can be really challenging to get the sells & promotion ya need. So I follow a website called Everything Etsy that is an EXCELLENT place to see wonderful things other shops are doing. I really enjoy it. I thought I would share the featured shop & the AWESOME giveaway they are offering! I LOVE all the items at SewCuteShop! I think the pjs and the owl onesie are the CUTEST! FB Fan Giveaway

I have 62 fans on Facebook now and as promised I'm having a giveaway! Sooooo I assigned each fan on facebook a number, then I went to www.random.org and I entered 62 as the maximum number value.... The number chosen was 41 and so the person assigned to this number is Mary Linker Wagner! Mary has 24 hours to contact me about the giveaway. If I dont hear from her then I will chose someone else.

Whats the prize you ask? Mary gets to go to the shop and choose 1 item that is currently for sale. I will then make her an item just like it in her choice of color(s) for free =) I'm soooo excited to have 62 fans! YAY! Thanks to everyone who is following and supporting me and my shop! I've decided that I want to have a special giveaway for my 60th fan on my facebook fan page =) As of right now The Longest Yarn has 49 fans.... as soon as it hits 60 fan's, I'll assign each fan a number and then randomly choose 1 name from a hat... that person will receive a special item that I will be making for the giveaway. I havent exactly decided what the item will be just yet, but as soon as I do I will post another blog announcing it. ;) I'm really excited!!! 'Openings' ~ One World, One Heart: Give away

For Wednesday Stamper the theme was 'Openings' and so I thought of a window. I created this 4x4...

The leaf stamps and bird stamp were all bought from Michaels on clearance. The leaf stamp was actually a stamp for decorating handmade soaps but I thought it would work for ink as well so I snatched it up *lol* I'm not sure if every dollar store is the same but here when you buy something thats fragile they wrap the items up in decorative tissue papers. So the curtains for the window is made from some of the tissue paper I saved from that. I always keep things like that just incase, you never know when you could use it for some sort of art project :) I wish you could see the clouds better in the 'sky' behind the bird but the scan just didnt let that show so well. I just love how all the colors go together. I'm a big fan of neutrals. :)
