"Cherish" Teal & Brown Bookmark

This is another creation by muah today.. and yes... I had to include some Twilight love lol. Its a book mark so why not show my favorite series while I'm at it!?! =) I love how it turned out, and sort of sad that I am parting with it, but I did make it for someone else. LOL. Don't you hate that feeling of 'but its so pretty can't I keep it?!?' I get those feelings sooo often! I loved how this turned out so much that I think I'm going to make a few more in other color combo's and some special ones for my girls at O.W. =D I think these would go perfectly in my little books I'm making everyone! I may even sell these in my shop but I haven't quite decided on that one just yet. I guess it depends on the feedback I get from everyone lol. Anyway... I guess we'll see... 

The flower is made from teal & brown scrapbook paper by My Minds Eye (I believe, I need to keep better track of the names of things lol) and measures a whopping 4 inches! It is embellished with a white button, some shiny silver crochet thread tied in a pretty bow, and a stamped tag that says 'Cherish'... It is attached to a 15' satin ribbon to mark your place in your book. The flower is meant to go on the outside for display because if you put it inside your book it would A. get squished beyond recognition and b. your book would never close lol.  

Here is one more view of the bookmark before I close. This one shows it in all of its 3d glory =) I really love the teal and brown color combo, this paper is gorgeous by the way! I think its called Bohemian, and I don't think this particular pattern is available anymore, which sux because I think I'm out of it LOL. Oh well, there's plenty of other beautiful paper out there for me to snatch up! Ha! Please let me know what you guys think! I would love to hear some feedback so that I can decide whether or not to offer these in Beeing Creative! Is anyone else getting impatient for Breaking Dawn?!? I know I am! LOL! Its really going to suck to have to wait for part 2 BUT in a way its a good thing because we will have 1 more movie, so the series won't be completely over for us and the excitement will last for another year! Yay! Come on November!!!!

Twilight Love

I call this one 'Twilight Love' simply because A. I couldn't think of another title, and B. I thought it was suitable since they obviously do love one another, and that started with Twilight.
Can you tell that I am enjoying the heart motif around my drawings lol. I just enjoy the way it looks, and it seems pretty suitable for the upcoming occassion. I think my favorite part would be the facial expressions. I really enjoy the chemistry between these two, whether it be in the films or not, they just have that vibe together. Its nice. Ok enough rambling... I need to sleep sometime or I'll be drawing stick figures lol. Good night!

Total Eclipse of the Heart

I am dieing for Breaking Dawn to come out already, and soo bummed that we have to wait until the fall!!! So I guess you could say I'm going through withdrawls hahaha. Anyway, I've been bitten by the Valentine Love bug and decided to do a few drawings of my favorite series... this is the first drawing I created. I call it 'Total Eclipse of the Heart'. Its going to go nicely in my Studio, as soon as I figure out where. ha! I think my favorite part of this one is the detail in the fabric's of their clothing, and the ribbon around the heart!

I hope you enjoy, I'm super proud of it myself! I was actually going through a little stage in the past few weeks thinking that I actually lost my touch in drawing. That would really really be bad because realistic pencil drawing is what I do best. It's my 'thing'. I have a lot of 'things' but thats the one thing that I've always been good at, and I don't want to lose it. My hubby laughed at me and told me I was crazy... maybe I am. ha! This was a breath of fresh air for me... helped me realize that I haven't lost it, I just needed to work out the kinks, shake of the rust in the old fingers and get to work. LOL.

New Blog & stuff...

I'm so sleepy! If I sound like a complete loon, please attempt to overlook it. LOL. I was up until almost 3 am because I couldn't sleep, then my hubby leaves for work at around 5:15 and wakes me up to say goodbye (his normal routine) and I just couldn't go back to sleep. My mind kept wandering, and I couldn't stop thinking of all the things I wanted to do today... My lifestyle changes that I am praying I will actually stick with... The things me and Tim need to do this weekend when he gets off... I even was looking around the room and thinking of how I could redecorate it! ACKK! So I just caved and got up. I hate when my mind races like that!

Me and my best friend Ginger decided that we both are going to give our best effort in changing our lifestyles to something healthier. We plan on dieting & exercising to reach goals that we both set. We then created a blog where we are going to share healthy recipes, our goals,accomplishments and fallbacks, as well as personal blogs through our journey. We want to keep each other motivated, so that we dont cave on it and we actually reach our goals to better, healthier lives. Its not going to be easy! On another note, the postal service stinks! LOL! We sent a package out almost 2 weeks ago. It will be 2 weeks on Saturday. To my sister who lives in California and she still has yet to receive it! It really drives me crazy at how slow things they can be... especially when you pay for priority mail thats SUPPOSED to be 2-4 days. UGH!

I finished re-reading Eclipse for the upcoming film. I can not wait until the movie comes out! I want to go to the midnight show but I know that it will be super hard for Tim since he has to leave for work at 5 am. Sooo I think we may go on the 1st after he gets off of work or something. I'm really glad I read the book again too because I completely forgot some very important moments in the story! It would have been too funny if I would have seen the movie and claimed that they added things and really they didn't.. it was in the story and I just didnt remember. I'd really feel like a smart person then. Haha! I'm hoping they keep to the story though and that they don't leave too much out. I know they can't include every little thing but still. I also think it will be very interesting to see how they mention Imprinting. Thats going to be a toughy!

Now I am reading 'The Last Song' by Nicholas Sparks. So far so good, but I haven't really gotten into the story yet. Only read the first couple of chapters.

Looking for a Book Club?

Me and my bestie Ginger love reading. We tend to read the same type of books and talk about them alot. We also like to write poetry and things of that nature. Twilight Card- TTSC3

It took me a while to figure out what I wanted to make for my first Twilight Tuesday Challenge but this is what I came up with using the sketch provided :) It was alot of fun to make.

I made the background paper and wrote a tutorial that you can check out here. For the checkered part I used black and white cardstock and weaved it together. I drew the apple out on cardstock and cut it out. The shine of the apple is in white gel pen and white colored pencil. I drew the swirls on with a sharpee. The circle around the apple is actually Silver oragami paper :) I used my sewing machine to sew around the outside edge of the card with white thread. And finally I attached some ribbons and a sparkly bow. The background has metallics in it and shines. I couldnt really get a great pic of it to show off all of the shine and dimension :) This was a great challenge though.. for my FAVORITE topic .lol.

Twilight Fan

I'm another one of those older than they should be Twilight fanatics .lol. I was one of the only adults in the theatre the night Twilight opened in theatres. Go figure lol. But I dont mind. I read all of the series before I knew that there was going to be a movie. Of course by the time I found out there was going to be a movie.. I was already hooked! The stories that Stephenie Meyer has collaborated are so grasping. You get pulled in and I ended up wanting more.. sadly the serious is finished :( I loved the movie not as much as the books but I still loved it. With that said... being such a fan of both the books & the movies. I have decided to put together a blog dedicated to the saga of Edward and Bella. Its called Lion Luvs Lamb. (one of my favorite quotes in Twilight btw) The blog is already launched and there's a poll and a bunch of news/info about the next movie in the saga being filmed now.. New Moon. I want to update this blog frequently with news, artwork, thoughts/opinions, polls and other fun stuff!
