Last night I added a new item to my shop Hillside Studios. My little sis helped me name it =D I think she came up with the perfect name for it too!
I actually had different pictures posted of this last night but when I woke up this morning and it was sooo warm and beautiful outside I HAD to take more pics outside! It gave me an excuse to sit outside for a bit and enjoy the beauty on our hill =) Plus the lighting was so much better for a nice pic. I loved the star shape of this box. It was a blank paper mache box that I found for fifty cents at Michaels! I painted the lid of the box in red and then sponged gold. The bottom and inside of the box is painted in olive green. I found this gorgeous vintage image searching online for free ephemera. =) I added red ruby gems to each corner of the lid and also some gold filigre that I had to add some decor to the lid. The final step was to seal everything several times in a clear gloss medium. I use Liquitex Gloss Medium & Varnish. =D Its actually a good sized box its 3 inches deep and can hold lots inside. It measures about 6 1/2 inches in width and length.I am selling this item for $15.00 with $5.00 for shipping.
